FAMILY PLANNER AND DASHBOARD FOR GOOGLE SHEETS AND EXCEL

A family planner for couples and parents who split the work of running a house.
It tracks chores, meals, groceries and bills, and shows who carries more of the work, in hours.

📊 WHAT IT DOES

✓ Chores: one line per part of a job — noticing, deciding and doing — with rough minutes that add up to hours a week.
✓ The load: adds up everything the house takes in a week, including the noticing and deciding that never make a list.
✓ Balance: shows how the hours split between the two of you, against the share you agreed is fair.
✓ Handoffs: tracks what was handed over, to whom, and flags one that has sat too long.
✓ Meals: a week of dinners written down once, so the grocery list below fills in on its own.
✓ Grocery: one shopping list with prices, tied to the meals you planned.
✓ Bills: every recurring bill with its due day, and how many you pay by hand.
✓ Goals: the things the house wants done this year, each with a month and a price attached.

📂 WHAT'S INSIDE: 29 TABS AND 58 CHARTS

✓ Start with these: Home, Start here, Setup, Chores, Handoffs
✓ Plan the week: This week, Meals, Grocery, Week rhythm
✓ Who carries what: The load, Balance, Standards, Kids
✓ Money: Bills, Budget, Goals
✓ What is coming: Appointments, Coming up, Waiting on
✓ The longer view: Month, Year, Wins, Health, Habits
✓ Routine and help: Check-in, Notes, Catch-up, Read me, Free gift

📝 HOW IT WORKS

  1. Open the PDF and click the link to make your own copy in Google Sheets. Or open the Excel file.
  2. On Start here, fill in the shaded cells: both your names and hours the house takes per week. Add what counts as a fair share and a grocery target.
  3. Add ten lines on Chores with the part and rough minutes, then write your meals, grocery list and bills as the week goes.
  4. Everything else fills in by itself. Home shows the week's housework, handoffs and how far you are from a fair split.
