Annual Budget Planner Spreadsheet for Google Sheets and Excel
ANNUAL BUDGET SPREADSHEET FOR GOOGLE SHEETS AND EXCEL
An annual budget planner for anyone who wants to plan a full year, not just one month. It plans the months with yearly bills ahead of time, instead of letting them show up as a surprise.
Works with zero-based budgeting or carried-over leftovers, your choice on Start here.
📊 WHAT IT DOES
✓ Year plan: the next twelve months by category, with yearly bills marked in the month they are due.
✓ Annual bills: bills that don't come every month, like insurance or the holidays, each kept in its own month.
✓ Sinking funds: one monthly transfer that covers all your yearly bills, and whether each fund will be full in time.
✓ Heavy months: the months that cost much more than the rest, named ahead of time, with a monthly amount to even them out.
✓ Year end: a forecast for your year from what you spent so far and the pace of the last three months.
✓ What changed: your last six months compared with the six before, by category.
✓ Payoff plan: your debts in payoff order, snowball or avalanche, with a debt-free date.
✓ Bill calendar: this month's bills by due date, so you can see what is paid and what is still due.
✓ Catch-up: four steps to bring the plan up to date if you missed a few months.

📝 HOW IT WORKS
- Open the PDF and click the link to make your own copy in Google Sheets. Or open the Excel file.
- On Start here, fill in the shaded cells: your name, your take-home pay, other income, how the month works and your emergency fund target.
- Add your categories on Setup, your bills on Bills, your yearly bills on Annual bills, then log income and spending as you go.
- Everything else fills in by itself. Home shows what is left this month, year-end versus plan, yearly bills and the most expensive month.
