Couples Budget Planner Spreadsheet for Google Sheets and Excel
COUPLES BUDGET SPREADSHEET FOR GOOGLE SHEETS AND EXCEL
A couples budget spreadsheet for couples finances: keep what's shared separate from what's personal. You choose how to split shared costs, and every purchase says whose it was and who paid.
Works whichever way you split costs: 50/50, by income, or a custom percentage.
📊 WHAT IT DOES
✓ Spending: log every purchase with whose it was and who paid; each line shows who owes whom.
✓ Fixed: list every repeating bill with whose it is and which account pays it.
✓ Split rule: compares 50/50, by income and a custom split, side by side, on your own numbers.
✓ Fair share: shows each person's part of shared costs this month and on average.
✓ Settle up: turns the month into one number, one direction, one transfer.
✓ Personal money: sets aside the same allowance for each of you that neither has to explain.
✓ Talk first: flags purchases above a limit you agree on, so you talk before you buy.
✓ Money date: gives you a ready-made agenda for a short monthly money talk.

📝 HOW IT WORKS
- Open the PDF and click the link to make your own copy in Google Sheets. Or open the Excel file.
- On Start here, fill in the shaded cells: both names, how you split shared costs, your personal money each month and your talk-first limit.
- Add bills on Fixed and log every purchase on Spending, with whose it was and who paid.
- Everything else fills in by itself. Home shows what you owe each other right now and what's shared this month.
