✓ Budget: give every category a plan for the month. Spent, left and the share of the plan fill in by themselves, and the check says on track, almost used or over.
✓ Fun money for each of you. Spend your share on anything, log it with your name, and see what each of you has left this month.
✓ Savings count as saved, not spent, so a big month for the house fund does not look like overspending.
✓ Spending: one line per purchase with the category and who paid, yours, theirs or both. The check shows what is left in that category for the month, up to that line.
✓ Year: twelve months of plan, spent, saved and fun money, with how much stayed untracked and whether you met your savings goal.
✓ Two charts: planned and spent by group, and spent and saved month by month.
