DEBT PAYOFF SPREADSHEET FOR GOOGLE SHEETS AND EXCEL

A debt payoff spreadsheet for anyone paying down more than one balance at a time. It walks each debt forward at its own rate and minimum, and sends every extra dollar to one debt first.
Works with cards, loans and bills side by side, and compares debt snowball against debt avalanche on your own numbers.

📊 WHAT IT DOES

✓ Debts: list each debt once, with its type, balance, rate and minimum. The payoff numbers fill in by themselves.
✓ Payments: log every payment you make, and the rest of the file reads from this.
✓ Payoff plan: walks your payoff schedule forward month by month, with each debt at its own rate and minimum.
✓ Strategy compare: lines up debt snowball, debt avalanche and your own order on your real balances.
✓ What if: shows how a bigger monthly payment changes your debt-free date.
✓ Utilization: shows how much of each card's limit you're using, the number your credit score reacts to.
✓ Promo rates: counts down the months left on a 0% rate and what the balance will cost once it ends.
✓ Balance transfer: works out what moving a balance to a 0% card would actually save you.

📂 WHAT'S INSIDE: 35 TABS AND 90 CHARTS

📝 HOW IT WORKS

  1. Open the PDF and click the link to make your own copy in Google Sheets. Or open the Excel file.
  2. On Start here, fill in the shaded cells: your name, your extra payment each month, your start date and your payoff method.
  3. Add every debt on Debts with its balance, rate and minimum, then log each payment you make on Payments.
  4. Everything else fills in by itself. Home shows your total debt, your debt-free date and what you've paid off so far.
