IEP GOAL TRACKER SPREADSHEET FOR GOOGLE SHEETS AND EXCEL
A tracker for your caseload, every goal, and every session β€” review dates, weekly minutes, and progress toward each target keep themselves up to date.

πŸ“Š WHAT IT DOES
βœ“ Caseload: one row per student, by initials or ID β€” last IEP date, last evaluation date, and required minutes a week. Annual review due and re-evaluation due calculate from those dates on their own, and a status shows Overdue, Due in 30 days, or On track.
βœ“ Goals & Data: one row per goal β€” baseline, target, and up to six data points. Latest percent, the change since baseline, and an on-track status fill in as you add each checkpoint.
βœ“ Goals & Data: a chart of goal status across your caseload, and a chart of latest percent against target for every goal.
βœ“ Service Log: one row per session β€” date, student, minutes, and an optional note. Minutes for the current week add up against what your whole caseload requires.
βœ“ Start here: an optional case manager name and school year β€” everything else lives on the other tabs.

πŸ“‚ WHAT'S INSIDE: 4 TABS AND 2 CHARTS
βœ“ Start here: case manager, school year, and the three other tabs linked
βœ“ Caseload: five cards and every student with review and re-evaluation status
βœ“ Goals & Data: four cards, a chart of goal status, a chart of latest percent against target, and every goal
βœ“ Service Log: two cards and every session

πŸ“ HOW IT WORKS
1. Open the PDF and click the link to make your own copy in Google Sheets. Or open the Excel file.
2. On Caseload, add each student by initials or ID, their last IEP and evaluation dates, and minutes a week.
3. On Goals & Data, add baseline, target, and data points for each goal β€” latest percent and status fill in on their own.
4. On Service Log, add a row after each session β€” minutes for the week against the caseload's needs add up by themselves.

πŸ“₯ WHAT YOU GET
βœ“ Google Sheets version (the link is in the PDF)
βœ“ Excel version (.xlsx) for desktop Excel 2016 or newer and Microsoft 365, on Windows or Mac
βœ“ A filled example to look around, and a blank copy for your own caseload
βœ“ A PDF guide with screenshots, the links and the first steps
βœ“ A video guide for this planner (the link is in the PDF)

πŸ’» GOOD TO KNOW
βœ“ Works with a free Google account. No app, no ads, no subscription.
βœ“ Use initials or a student ID everywhere on this file, never a full name β€” this file is meant to stay on your own laptop, and student privacy is on you.
βœ“ Review due is 12 months after the last IEP date. Re-evaluation due is 36 months after the last evaluation date β€” change either date any time an IEP or evaluation happens.
βœ“ Required minutes a week are not built in β€” every IEP sets its own number. Type it in from the student's own paperwork.
βœ“ Type only in the lighter input cells. Formulas are protected: Google Sheets warns you before you change one, and Excel keeps them locked.
βœ“ Best on a computer for setup. The Google Sheets app works for a quick check on your phone.
βœ“ The Excel version may look slightly different from the photos (fonts, colors, charts). The photos show Google Sheets. Links between tabs work in Google Sheets.
βœ“ English only. Not made for Apple Numbers.
βœ“ Free updates for life.
