Budget Template for Google Sheets and Excel, Easy Monthly Budget Spreadsheet, Finance Tracker and Budget Planner for Beginners
SIMPLE BUDGET SPREADSHEET FOR GOOGLE SHEETS AND EXCEL
A simple monthly budget spreadsheet for beginners and anyone who wants a budget that takes minutes, not hours. Set your budget once, then add a transaction each time money comes in or goes out. Every new month starts on its own, so there is nothing to copy, clear or retype.
📊 WHAT IT DOES
✓ Budget: set a monthly budget once. It repeats every month, so you never retype it.
✓ Common categories are already filled in. Each one is marked Income, Bill, Spending, Savings or Debt.
✓ Budget: log each paycheck and purchase on one line with the date, amount, category and an optional note.
✓ Budget: four cards show Income, Expenses, Savings and Balance for the month.
✓ Your balance carries over from month to month, starting from the starting balance you type once.
✓ Budget: Budget, Actual and Remaining for every category, so you can see what is still free to spend.
✓ Budget: a chart of spending by category, and a Budget vs Actual chart.
✓ Year: the last twelve months side by side, with a chart of money in and money out.
✓ Want to see an old month again? Type a date in Pick month on Budget.
📂 WHAT'S INSIDE: 3 TABS AND 3 CHARTS
✓ Start here: your starting balance and four short steps
✓ Budget: your monthly budget, transactions, four cards and two charts
✓ Year: twelve months side by side, with totals and one chart
📝 HOW IT WORKS
- Open the PDF and click the link to make your own copy in Google Sheets. Or open the Excel file.
- On Start here, type your starting balance (checking and cash). Your name is optional.
- On Budget, type a budget next to each category. Then add a transaction every time you get paid or spend.
- Everything else fills in by itself. The cards, the charts and Year update with every line you add.
